Holidays in Cape Verde

Between 28 August and 8 September we spent our summer holidays in Cape Verde. On the way there we met in Lisbon Jeanette’s old friend Liliana and her daughter Ada (no, it was not just the fate, everything was carefully planned ;-). We flew then together to the Sal island, and transferred to the Morabeza hotel in Santa Maria. We experienced the hurricane Fred, sore stomachs, bad coffee and beer, but otherwise an outstanding time there. The locals are very friendly, there is no mass tourism, the beaches are magnificent with a fine sand, large and almost empty, and the ocean was warm at about 27-28ºC.
